Why we love ‘The Walking Dead’ #8: The Walking Dead: A Walk in the Woods (Guest Post by Daniel C. Wilson)

We’re still not ready to say this was the best “walk” in “The Walking Days” and “The Walk”, but it’s definitely not a bad thing.

That said, “A Walk in The Woods” had a bit of a “walk in the woods” feel to it, with some characters walking through the forest and some of them doing some very specific things.

The pacing of the episode, though, was a bit uneven, with a bit too much “walking” happening at once.

The problem was, it felt like we weren’t really “walking” through the woods, but rather walking through a series of interconnected scenes.

There were a few scenes that I think would’ve been a bit more enjoyable if we had seen them more separately, but they’re not that big of a deal.

I’m not saying the episode was bad, but it felt a bit rushed, and a bit out of character.

I do, however, think the episode is a solid “Walking Dead” continuation, which is good to see.

The “A” word is up for grabs here, as we’re heading into season five, so we’re in a pretty good place right now.

I would’ve liked to see the episode focus more on the characters, which I do think would have been more interesting.

I think the series would’ve benefited from doing a bit less “walk-in-the-woods” action, but I don’t think we’re looking at a show that’s going to be on television forever.

“A Walking Dead” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m.

ET on AMC.
