PET GRAINTS, Fla.
— A former Florida governor has gotten a $50 for a pet grooming gig at a pet food company.
St. Peter’s Pet Gourmet LLC announced Wednesday that Brian Blakeslee will be the company’s director of pet grooming, according to a press release.
Blakeslee worked in the Department of Agriculture and Natural Resources before being elected to the Florida House of Representatives in 2008.
He is now a member of the Florida Senate.
Bladeslee, a Republican, is best known for his support for Florida’s pet grooming industry, which he said helped the state save more than $1 billion in vet bills over the last decade.
Blakeeslee, who was governor from 2013 to 2017, has said he plans to stay on in Florida as an active member of Congress.
